THE SYSTEM OPPORTUNITY
The product did not need more options. It needed a clearer learning model.
Players often encounter equipment, pocket terminology, and stringing instruction as separate experiences. The redesign connects them into one progressive system: choose intentionally, understand the effect, then practice with immediate visual context.
01 · CLARIFY
Make each decision legible.
Surface purpose, pocket effect, and the next meaningful action without burying the athlete in jargon.
02 · TEACH
Show the system at work.
Use guided states, precise hotspots, and inspection views so technique becomes visible instead of abstract.
03 · BUILD TRUST
Keep the athlete in control.
Make progress, active state, mistakes, and recovery obvious enough to support self-directed practice.
INTERACTION MODEL
Three scales of guidance, from the whole head to the knot.

01 · ORIENTATION
Start with the full head so the athlete understands location, sequence, and the relationship between the active hole and the finished pocket.

02 · GUIDED ACTION
Move closer when precision matters. The active string path, mesh diamond, and sidewall hole remain visually connected to a single instruction.

03 · EXPLAIN THE KNOT
The Knot Microscope isolates the critical geometry, separates explanation from execution, and gives the athlete a controllable timeline for inspection.
PROOF OF WORK
A system designed to grow with the player.
The prototype establishes a reusable interaction language for coaching, product configuration, and future training content—without turning the experience into a novelty or hiding the physical craft.
